Tehran says it is ready to return to talks with the aim of de-escalating the conflict following the US-Israeli attacks on Iran.
The Omani Foreign Ministry announced today, Sunday (01/03) that the head of Iranian diplomacy, Abbas Araghchi, informed his counterpart from the sultanate, Badr Albusaidi, by phone, that Tehran is open to any serious effort aimed at de-escalating hostilities , following the attacks launched by the Israeli and US armed forces against the Islamic Republic,
Oman had taken on the role of mediator in recent negotiations between the US and Iran, with the sultanate's Foreign Minister assuring on Friday (27/02) that significant progress had been achieved.
Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi reiterated Oman's call for a "ceasefire" and "return to the dialogue table."
